Andrew Cook: RHP/3B, (2022) out of Bishop Feehan, MA. is a 5-foot-10, 175-pound right-handed pitching prospect. On the mound, Cook uses a simple delivery and a short ¾ arm slot to create arm-side run on a fastball that sits 85-86 MPH. 85-86 mph. He gets to a consistent balance point at the top and separates well before heading down the mound. His curveball (74-75 MPH) has tight 12/6 action and flashed a changeup (79-81 MPH) with late sink.
5-foot-10, 165-pound right-handed pitcher. I thought he threw the ball very well at the event. The fastball sat 80-81 mph with arm side run to it. The spin pitch was 71-72 mph and solid in shape. The changeup was 74-76 mph and trending in the right direction. The delivery was online with the feet and the slot is slightly above 3/4 in height. the direction to the plate is solid and he stays with his arm. The lift is repeated, solid in tempo and he tucks the glove as he strides out to the plate. The arm is short on the backside and the addition of weight to the frame could aid the process of his development.
