5-foot-9, 190-pound, strong, durable, athletic frame. Put together well, strength throughout. A left-handed hitting catcher, a balanced setup, wider even feet. The hands are relaxed set on the shoulders with a flat setup. The lower half is under control, small, smooth leg kick, gets loaded up on the back side. The swing is level to up, natural lift and loft to the swing, more middle to pull side approach. Took a solid round of batting practice, exit velocity clocked at 86 mph. Defensively, the setup is low to ground, gets around the baseball on the catch, secures the pitch with strong hands. Right-foot replaces the left foot, gets inline with target, had a pop time of 2.15-2.24. The arm was clocked at 63 mph, will need to add arm strength. Pitchers looked comfortable throwing bullpens to him.
