1/27/19

Body Type: 6-foot-2, 185-pound, stronger, larger, wider athletic frame. The shoulders and back are wide, with room for added weight.
Hit: A right-handed hitter, hands start higher, loose with pre-pitch movement to them. The front foot starts slightly open, gets back to even on the stride foot. The lower half is under control, small controlled leg kick into a simple stride. The swing is flat through the zone, looks to drive it from middle to pull side of the field.
Power: Had a tee exit velocity of 83 mph, baseball came off the bat with some pop, look for it to continue to climb with added strength, present gap power.
Run: Ran a 7.67 sixty-yard dash, long strider.
Offensive Production: Look for him to hit with power at some point, creates lift and loft, potential to be a power guy down the road.
Field: The hands are soft on the catch, fields out front on the catch, works low to the ground. The feet are clean off the bag, moving well to both sides of the bag on the catch
Arm: The arm action is shorter, throws from his ear, from a higher slot. Clocked at 74 mph, more in there over time..
Defensive Production: Should stick at first base, good size, moves well off and around the bag.

8/01/18

6-foot-1, 175-pound right-handed hitting first baseman. Much improved with the bat since the last time we saw him. Ran a 4.6 down the line on his dig to first base. The glove is solid around first base and he has a feel around the bag. Threw 75 mph across the diamond from first to third base. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 84 mph. The setup is wide in base, bottom half under control throughout the swing. The hands work freely and he attempts to stay in his legs throughout the swing. The path is flat and he showed a liking for the pull side. He is improving, needs to get stronger and keep playing.

Tee Exit Velocity- 84 mph

2/11/18

6-foot, 165-pound right-handed hitting infielder.  The glove is solid and he moves athletically. Threw 65 mph across the diamond. Swung the bat extremely well, tee exit velocity of 83 mph. Sets up with a wide base, and a high back elbow. The bat path is clean and productive. Made hard contact throughout the session. The bottom half stays under control throughout the swing. He is going to be a good offensive player. Good follow.

8/02/17

5-foot-10, 150-pound right-handed hitting infielder. Threw 71 mph across the diamond from third base. The glove is soft and the feet are average. Smoothing out prep steps will help him throw more appropriately. Ran a 5.1 down the line on his dig to first base, that will have to improve as he physically matures. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 78 mph. Sets up with his feet even and the hands are relaxed. The path to the ball is flat and simple. Hands work freely and he can make adjustments easily as he matures. The bottom half is under control at contact.

3/18/17

5-foot-10, 150-pound right-handed hitting corner infielder. The glove is solid in the infield, footwork needs to improve as he ages. Getting through the ball with his feet will aid the throwing process as he matures. Threw 67 mph across the diamond. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 78 mph, very good for his age. The base of the swing is solid, the path is direct to the ball and he uses the barrel appropriately. The extension and finish through the ball is done very well. Good follow and solid skill set at his age. Will be interesting to see him develop and play throughout the coming years.

Tee Exit Velo- 78 mph
INF Velo- 67 mph
