5-foot-8, 165-pound, strong, solid athletic frame, plus strength for his size. A right-handed hitting middle infielder, at the plate starts slightly open at shoulder width, a taller stance. The hands are held higher, quiet with a tilted setup. For timing uses a higher leg kick, gaining ground, hands are loaded down and back, are back on foot strike. The backside has drive to it, helping to create power to swing. The swing is level to up, creates lift and loft, could shorten it a tick has length to it. The approach is more pull side, had an exit velocity was clocked at 87 mph. A plus runner, gets out of the gate quick, ran a 6.97 sixty-yard dash. Defensively, shows quick hands, moves well to both sides, glove plays and is soft on the catch. Can spin it from both sides, projects more from the second base side. The arm was clocked at 74 mph, works clean, from a 3/4 slot. Looks to compete, can help at the next level.

Genser is an athletic, strong 5-foot-8, 165 pound prospect. The right-handed hitting middle infielder had an impressive 93 mph exit velocity off the tee at this event. He hits out of a narrow, slightly open stance, with the hands relaxed off the back shoulder. He transitions the weight to the back leg using a controlled knee slide. The hands push back into a strong launch position. His hand-speed is evident during the swing as he takes a direct, flat path to and through the hitting zone.

Defensively, Genser was nursing a sore arm, so he did not throw at this event. He participated in the defensive workout and showed athletic actions in the middle of the diamond. The feet are light as he moves to get into a balanced, fundamental fielding position. He breaks down behind the ground ball and shows soft hands as he transitions through to the throwing position. The feet create a direct line with the target, allowing the hips and shoulders to follow.

Genser is a good looking prospect. The actions in the middle of the diamond are athletic and he shows gap-to-gap juice in a swing that remains balanced throughout.
