Taylor is a physical 6-foot-2, 220 pound right-handed hitting catcher. Taylor hits out of wide set up, with the hands in a relaxed position. The load is short, getting him into a strong position to hit. The bat path is short, direct to contact, showcasing his strength. The ball jumps off his bat, as evident with his max exit velocity of 88 MPH. Taylor remains balanced throughout and finishes on plane.

Defensively, Taylor showed solid fundamentals behind the plate and a velocity of 70 MPH. The initial set up is good. The feet are in a good position, with the glove centered in his chest. As he transitions to throw to second base, the hips slide a bit causing him to fall toward third base. The shoulders get back to square, allowing the arm swing to be clean. He finishes over his front leg, maintaining a good line with his target.
