ACADEMIC GAMES II
6-foot-5, 175-pound right-handed pitcher. We have seem him a bunch of times and the projection is immense based on his arm and frame. The fastball sat 83-84 mph, arm side run to all the fastballs. The spin pitch is 71-73 mph, frisbee style at times. The changeup is 77-79 mph, fade and sink to the pitch at times. The delivery has crossfire to the feet and the slot is slightly above 3/4 in height. The tracking of the front shoulder stay closed throughout and he repeats a delivery of solid tempo. There is a coil at the top of the lift as he makes his way into foot strike, Solid arm and real potential.

6-foot-4, 170-pound right-handed pitcher. The delivery has crossfire to the feet and slot is slightly above 3/4, very loose. The delivery is repeated, small amount of forward lean and the glove side is posted at release. I like the frame and the arm works. He had to leave the session early cause of arm fatigue. The fastball sat 81-83 mph, Ive seen him better. The spin pitch is 73-74 mph , with good action. The changeup is a developing pitch with good action. Definite follow on the mound.

3/05/19

6-foot-4, 170-pound quick armed right-handed pitcher. I am a big fan of him as everything works for him and the frame projects to fill out. The fastball sits 82-83 mph, arm side run and action to it. The command is good. The fastball has more in it, as he gets stronger and gains weight. The spin pitch is very good, up to 75 mph with hard downward action to it. The changeup showed fade and sink, sitting at 74-76 mph. The delivery has crossfire to the feet making it tough to pick up the ball. The slot is slightly above 3/4 in height. The lift is repeated, coil at the top and he stays closed to foot strike. Big follow for me as the arm is quick and works well.

2/10/19

6-foot-4, 165-pound right-handed pitcher. The fastball touched 83 mph, arm side run to the pitch. The spin pitch is 73-74 mph, wide at times, can be shortened down for better velocity and later break. The changeup needs a spin fix, sitting 74 -76 mph. The arm is clean and the frame is ideal for a pitcher’s body. The delivery is online, slightly above ¾ in slot. The tracking of the front shoulder comes offline too soon. The top half is triggered to rotate a tick too early. Later rotation will sync up the bottom half to the top. I really like the arm and the frame, should be a guy who garners lower d1 attention.

3/18/17

6-foot-1, 145-pound right-handed pitcher and outfielder. On the mound, the fastball touched 75 mph with arm side run to it. The spin pitch is 63 mph as it needs more fastball hand speed to it, in other words the ball needs to be turned out in front of his head. The delivery is online and he pitches out of a plus ¾ slot. There is some back lean to the delivery as the front side comes off target. Did throw strikes throughout the session. The frame is solid and should fill out nicely. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 66 mph. The stance is athletic and tall. The path is long to the ball as the arms get extended as he maneuvers the barrel. Physical strength is needed to aid the development of his game.

Tee Exit Velo -66 mph
