Brayden Michaelson: SS/RHP, (2023) St Marks, MA. 6-foot-2, 200-pound athletic mature build. Projectable at the plate, the right-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 94 mph. (70.9 mph bat speed average). (23.7 mph hand speed average). Begins in a balanced wide stance with a small load, then uses a small stride. Bat speed is quick developing, exhibits an uphill loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. Barreled up multiple balls with loud contact. Projectable in the infield, his position velocity was registered at 84 mph; has soft sure hands, a clean natural exchange, and developing athletic feet. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were  athletic. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a loose arm action and a ¾ slot. Projectable on the mound, showed above average developing arm speed, he had a high ¾ arm angle with a loose arm action. Up-tempo type pitcher who uses some effort. Tall balance point with in line shoulders. Lands closed with an athletic finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 84-85 mph; shows slight running action and arm side control. (Max spin 1947; Avg 1829). Has sweeping action and glove side control on his curveball (68-69). (Max spin 1690; Avg 1613). His changeup (72-74) has gradual fading action and arm side command.

Position: SS/RHP

Body: 6-foot-2, 200-pound athletic mature build.

Hit: (RHH) Projectable. Started in a balanced wide stance with a small load, then used a small stride. Quick developing bat speed. Good extension on his finish, uphill loose swing. 

Power: 94 mph exit velocity, average 73.3 mph. 70.9 mph bat speed average. 23.7 mph hand speed average.

Defense:  (IF) Soft sure hands, developing athletic footwork, clean natural exchange. Projectable.  Fielded the ball out front with developing athletic movement laterally. 

Arm: 84 mph infield velocity. Loose arm action, ¾ slot, consistent accuracy. 

Pitching: Projectable. Up-tempo delivery, some effort. High ¾ arm angle, above average developing arm speed, loose arm action. Consistent balance point, in line shoulders, lands closed, an athletic finish.

FB: T85. 84-85 mph. (Max spin 1947;  Avg 1829). Arm side accuracy, slight running action. 

CB: 68-69 mph. Glove side command, sweeping action. (Max spin 1690; Avg 1613). 

CH: 72-74 mph. Arm side control, gradual fading action. 

6-foot-2, 195-pound right-handed hitting infielder and pitcher. Positionally, the approach in the infield is athletic and online. The glove is reliable and he moved through the fielding of the baseball. He threw 82 mph during the infield portion of the workout. The bat has an exit velocity of 89 mph. The setup is wide in base and the front foot steps into the pitch as the ball enters the strike zone. The swing is uphill with effort. On the mound, the fastball sat 82-83 mph. The spin pitch is 71-73 mph and solid in shape. The changeup was 72-74 mph, fade and sink at times. The delivery is online with the feet and the slot is above 3/ in action. The lift is repeated, solid in tempo and he can do a better job staying online with his top half to foot strike. 

Exit Velocity- 89 mph

INF Velocity- 82 mph

6-foot-1, 185-pound, strong, longer, athletic frame, with projection, should be physical at some point. A right-handed hitting two-way player, feet are even, wider than shoulder width. Stands taller, hands held higher, with more of a vertical setup. For timing uses a higher leg kick, stays over the back leg, staying balanced and back. The swing is short to contact, hands are inside the baseball, field to field approach with line drives. The exit velocity was clocked in the low 90's, baseball jumps, shows to have enough juice to beat the outfielders. Defensively, threw an easy 76 mph across the diamond, showing carry. Presents the glove early, gets low and works through the baseball. The transfer is clean, feet move throughout, building momentum towards target. Moving well to both sides, showed an above average backhand. May project out more as a third baseman long term. Off the mound, simple delivery, easy lift with coil, is loaded on backside. The arm works from a 3/4 to higher 3/4 slot, creates arm side run. The breaking ball needs more fastball hand speed, clocked at 80-83 mph, shape and spin are correct. Throws a true turn me over changeup, good arm side action to it. Like the bat and glove, will be a good one at the next level.

Sixty-Yard Dash: 7.90

6-foot-1, 180-pound right-handed hitting middle infielder and pitcher. The approach in the infield is aggressive and online. The feet remain active and he showed soft hands. He threw 79 mph across the diamond out of a clean arm path. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 92 mph. The setup is wide in base, he uses a knee to knee approach on the bottom half as the ball approaches the hitting zone. The finish is high and the path is flat with lift at contact. The hands work and his body could be physical. On the mound, the fastball sat 77-78 mph. minimal arm side run. The spin pitch is 70-71 mph, small in shape. The changeup is a developing pitch, sitting 64-66 mph. The delivery is online with the feet and the slot is above 3/4. The arm path is short on the backside and he is aggressive with his arm. The post foot is on  top of the rubber. 

Tee Exit Velocity- 92 mph

INF Velocity- 79 mph
