10/04/20

6-foot-5, 160-pound right-handed pitcher and middle infielder. He ran a 7.56 sixty at the event. The approach in the infield is online and athletic, the feet can be more active through the fielding of the baseball. The glove shows to be reliable and he threw 70 mph across the diamond at the workout. The bat has an exit velocity of 81 mph as physical strength gains are warranted. The setup is even in base and he uses a knee to knee approach on the bottom half as the swing is produced. The path is long to contact and he showed an even finish. On the mound, the fastball sat 75-76 mph with arm side run. The spin pitch was 64 -65 mph and big in shape. The changeup is still a developing pitch for him. The delivery is online with the feet and above 3/4 in height. The lift is solid in tempo, coil at the top and he spin through as he makes his way into foot strike. The frame is long and lanky, strength training would do wonders for his overall game.

6-foot-5, 160-pound right-handed pitcher and right-handed hitting infielder. He ran a 7.16 sixty at the event. The approach in the infield is athletic and online with the feet. The glove is soft and he threw 76 mph across the diamond from third to first base. The frame is thin, the addition of physical strength and weight gain would benefit his development. The bat has an exit velocity of 87 mph. The setup is even in base and he steps into the pitch as the swing is produced. The barrel head is thrown aggressively to the baseball. On the mound, the fastball sat 74-75 mph. The slider pitch was 67-78 mph and trending in the right direction. The breaking ball was 63-64 mph and big in shape. The changeup is a developing pitch for him. The delivery is online with the feet and the slot is above 3/4 in height. The arm is very loose and works freely. The lift is repeated, coil at the top and he makes his way into foot strike. The tracking of the front shoulder can continue to improve as he matures in age.

Exit Velocity 87 mph

INF Velocity- 76 mph

2/29/20

Nickerson is a long, lean 6-foot-3, 155 pound prospect. The right-handed hitting infielder had an exit velocity of 79 mph off the tee. The stance is wide and square to the pitcher. The hands are relaxed off the back shoulder. The load begins with a knee to knee transfer of weight to the back leg and a pushing back of the hands. The swing-plane is direct and flat through the hitting zone. The extension stays on plane well through contact.

Defensively, Nickerson was 64 mph across the diamond. The feet are deliberate as he moves to get into a balanced fielding position. He breaks down behind the ball, with the glove out in front. He works through the ground ball well and gets into a good throwing position. The arm-swing is clean and he finishes through the ground ball in line with the target.

On the mound, the delivery uses simple movements to get balanced and in line down the mound. The arm works out of a higher, over the top slot that creates late run on a fastball that ranges 73-75 mph. The breaking pitch sat 67-69 mph, with tight side to side movement. He also mixed in a change-up at 67 mph that looks to still be developing.
