Connor Sottak: RHP/OF, (2023) Whitman Hanson, MA. 5-foot-11, 190-pound lean athletic build. Projectable and athletic at the plate, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 93 mph. (71.6 mph bat speed average). (22.1 mph hand speed average). Starts in a balanced athletic stance with a high load, then uses a small stride. Had an uphill loose swing plane, developing bat speed and good extension on his finish. Found multiple barrels with loud contact. Aggressive gap to gap approach. Projectable athletic in the outfield, he showed the ability to make throws to the bases at 83 mph; showed a natural clean exchange, developing athletic feet, and developing soft hands. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were developing. Used a high ¾ slot with a loose arm action while showing consistent accuracy to the bag. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.47. Projectable and capable on the mound, showed a high ¾ arm angle and a consistent loose arm action with developing arm speed. Feel type pitcher who shows some effort. Displays in line shoulders with a consistent balance point. Lands closed with a balanced finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 80-81 mph; showed running action and command arm side around the zone. (Max spin 2092; Avg 1951).
