A left-handed hitter, the projection of his frame and athletic ability are his best tools. The stance is slightly open, the feet are shoulder width apart, the hands are set at shoulder height, are loose and bat angle is in a good starting position. Lower half is under control, he takes a minimal stride, hands stay back, swing path is level through the zone and he finishes with one hand at shoulder height. The approach is more to the pull side. Projects out to have power to the gaps, needs to stay through the baseball a little longer, wants to lean back. Defensively, he shows soft hands behind the plate when receiving, needs to be able to stick the pitch a bit more. The feet are quick during the transfer, gains ground with the footwork towards second base. The arm action is short, has a slight hesitation on the backswing. Arm was clocked at 73 mph, pop times of 2.25-2.35 and throws were on or close to the bag. Definite follow with the athletic ability.
