5-foot-11, 200-pound right-handed hitting catcher who showed good tools at the event. Showed well behind the dish as he is strong and athletic. Solid receiving skills throughout the bullpen sessions. Threw 79 mph from behind the dish with a quick arm. Pop time of 1.92 during the workout. The bat is solid, tee exit velocity of 83 mph. Hits with an even footed setup and the front foot slightly open. Dives into the pitch as it comes and shows a 1-handed finish through the ball. Strength in the swing is apparent, needs to flatten the path a bit to maximize contact and leverage. On the mound, fastball touched 82 mph after catching most of the workout. The breaking ball was 67 mph. The arm is quick, out of a plus ¾ slot. The direction to home imploys a coil at the top of the lift and a pull off target of the front shoulder. Better direction will help extension and maximize arm speed. Good looking player. Ran a 3.94 thirty.
