Advanced at the plate, Nelson was ranked 2nd with an exit velocity of 95 mph.Began in a wide stance with a controlled load, then used a toe tap. Bat speed was quick, showed an uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. He found lots of barrels with a lot of loud contact. Pull side approach. Projectable in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 66 mph; has rhythmic feet, a clean exchange, and sure hands. Movements laterally were average and he fields the ball out front.
