5-foot-8, 160-pound right-handed hitting catcher who is developing very well, improved since the last time we saw him. Threw 74 mph from behind the dish, simple arm path. The path is short and the feet are improving during the transfer. Pop time of 2.09 at the event. The receiving is progressing nicely, soft and secures the catch are all trending the right way. Took ground balls in the infield as well, throwing 75 mph across the diamond. The prep steps to the ball need to be cleaned up and smoothed out. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 82 mph. Starts with an athletic stance, the hands work freely during the swing. The path is long, need to shorten it down, physical strength will help that process. Made hard line drive contact in the session. The skill set is good and trending the right way.

5-foot-8, 157 pounds, lean and athletic while just beginning to develop physically. Athleticism is there to succeed as a catcher or second baseman. Broad shoulders with slight slope provide plenty of room to add strength to the frame. Conner has an above average bat that will keep improving. During gameplay, he singled twice and flew out to deep center field. He has loose hands that work well up at the shoulders. The bat path is mostly level-up, tailored to deliver hard line drives. His feet get set slightly wider than shoulder width apart, and he uses a small leg kick. He is short to the ball with strong contact skills. Defensively, he has a quick first step with promising overall footwork as a backstop. His arm was clocked at 73 mph out of the chute to go along with pop times between 2.09-2.16. He has a fluid transfer into throws out of a high ¾ slot. Overall, Conner is a definite follow heading into his sophomore high school season, with room for improvement to an already above average package as a player.
