Jake Shaughnessy: LHP/1B, (2024) Franklin, MA. 6-foot, 176-pound solid frame. Raw projectable at the plate, Shaughnessy had an exit velocity of 90 mph. (66.99 mph bat speed average). (22.60 mph hand speed average). Starts in a wide stance with a tight load, then uses a short stride. Bat speed is developing above average, displays a long flat swing plane and level finish. He barreled up some balls with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Projectable in the infield, recorded a position velocity of 67 mph; had soft developing hands, a clean exchange, and consistent developing footwork. Movements laterally were developing and he fields the ball out front. Clocked a time of 7.28 in the 60-yard dash. Projectable raw on the mound, used a consistent arm action and an over-the-top arm angle while showing developing arm speed. Slow-tempo type pitcher and shows some effort. Has falling off shoulder and consistent balance point. Lands open with a falling off finish. Sat with his fastball at 74-75 mph; shows slight running action and arm side control with straight movement. (Max spin 2176; Avg 2022). Threw a 11/5 curveball (64-66) with sweeping action and glove side command. (Max spin 2211; Avg 2051). His changeup (68-69) has gradual fading action and arm side control.

Body: 6-foot, 176-pound solid frame.

Hit: (RHH) Raw projectable. Begins in a wide stance with a tight load, then uses a short stride. Developing above average bat speed. Level finish, long flat swing. Gap to gap approach. 

Power: 90 mph exit velocity, average 82.22 mph. 66.99 mph bat speed average. 22.60 mph hand speed average.

Defense:  (IF) Soft developing hands, consistent developing footwork, clean exchange. Projectable.  Laterally, movements were developing and fielded the ball out front. 

Arm: 67 mph infield velocity. 

Speed: 7.28 (60-yard).

Pitching:  Projectable raw. slow-tempo delivery, some effort. over-the-top arm angle, developing arm speed, consistent arm action. Consistent balance point, falling off shoulders, lands open, a falling off finish.

FB: T75. 74-75 mph. (Max spin 2176;  Avg 2022). Arm side accuracy, slight running action, straight movement. 

CB: 64-66 mph. Glove side control, sweeping action, 11/5 shape. (Max spin 2211; Avg 2051). 

CH: 68-69 mph. Arm side command, gradual fading action. 



6-foot, 175-pound left-handed pitcher and right-handed hitting first baseman. The feel around the bag at first is solid as he moves athletically and shows a reliable glove. He threw 70 mph during the infield portion of the workout. The bat has an exit velocity of 84 mph. The setup is even in base, front foot open to start the hands relaxed. The front foot closes down and steps into the swing. The path is flat through contact with the baseball. On the mound, the fastball sat 73-74 mph with arm side action to it. The spin pitch was 61-63 mph and big in shape. The changeup was 68-70 mph and showed fade to it. The delivery is online with the feet and the slot is above 3/4 in action. The lift is repeated, hip turn at the top as he makes his way into foot strike. The arm is clean, minor back arch and shows a feel for his delivery. 

Exit Velocity- 84 mph

INF Velocity- 70 mph
