Jake Lonardo: RHP/3B, (2026) Xaverian Brothers HS, RI. 5-foot-10, 165-pound lean athletic build. Athletic and projectable in the box, Lonardo clocked an exit velocity of 88 mph. (66.7 mph bat speed average). (21.5 mph hand speed average). Begins in a balanced wide stance with a controlled load, then uses a small stride. Bat speed is quick, shows a flat loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. In the round he found lots of barrels with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Athletic and projectable from the outfield, he displayed a position velocity of 79 mph; had a natural exchange, developing soft hands, and athletic footwork. Fielded the ball out front with athletic developing movement laterally. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a quick arm action with a high ¾ slot. Recorded a 60 time of 7.4 at the event. Projectable and athletic on the mound, using a short quick arm action he showed developing arm speed from a high ¾ arm angle. Feel type pitcher and showed some effort. Showed consistent balance point with in line shoulders. Lands closed with a falling off finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 77-78 mph; showed running action and control arm side around the zone. (Max spin 2123; Avg 2024). Threw a 12/6 curveball (62-63) with sweeping action and glove side command. (Max spin 1932; Avg 1918). Has glove side around the zone control and slurvey action on his slider (64-65).
