O’Connor is a 5-foot-10, 180 pound left-handed hitting outfield prospect. He hits out of a narrow, open stance with the hands in a good position. The load is controlled by a knee slide that allows him to stack the weight over his back leg. The swing generates some gap to gap carry with a quick, direct path through the hitting zone. During the batting practice he maxed out with a 91.5 MPH exit velocity. He also ran a 7.09 sixty.

Defensively, O’Connor showed a live arm and good feet from the outfield. He registered a top velocity of 81 MPH on his throws. The approach is athletic, with the glove in a good position. As he transitions through the play, the long arm swing creates good carry on his throws. He finishes through in line with the target.
