Cape Cod: A sidearm, different-look righthander, Driver's drop-and-drive delivery adds to his deception and helps make his 92-94 mph fastball tough to hit, with spin rates into the 2600s. He complemented it with a disgusting, plus turbo slider with abrupt break at the plate when at its best. He repeats the pitch often enough to bode well for a potential 70-grade in the future, with spin rates in the 2700s. Driver also showed good feel for a present fringe-quality changeup at 87-88 with 1800-1900 rpm spin.

6-foot-2, 185-pound right-handed pitcher. This was the best we have seen Jay thus far. The stuff is legit and the make up on the mound is good. The fastball was up to 88 mph, arm side run and action to the pitch. The spin pitch is a small slider, 78-79 and legit. The changeup has plus action to it, sat in the low 80’s. Needs a little velocity fix on that, its too hard but the action is plus. The delivery has minimal crossfire to the feet and the slot is slightly above ¾. The tempo is excellent and the arm works clean. The tracking of the front shoulder is done appropriately. Big time arm for me.

6-foot-1, 185-pound right-handed pitcher who showcased very well. Excellent looking arm, slot is ¾ and works freely. The delivery is online with his feet and the tracking is done well with the top half. The back leg sinks a bit as he gets into foot strike. The glove side is soft and he does a very good job of keeping his glove inside his frame at release. The fastball touched 83 with heavy sink and run to it. The spin pitch sat at 72 mph, good shape to it. The changeup is 75 mph and has plus fade to the pitch. Legit prospect for me, should develop very well.
2018 FUTURE GAMES 6-foot-2, 185-pound right-handed pitcher. Had a very good showing at the event. The umpire squeezed him early on and he stayed right with it, no panic. That is a good attribute to have. The fastball touched 86 mph, arm side run to the pitch. The slider was 72 -75 mph and very good at times. The changeup is developing but he showed a fee for the pitch, sat at 72 -74 mph. The slot is ¾ and the arm works freely. The feet have major crossfire to them, adding to the movement and deception of his pitches. Ideally, he would like to align with his feet better to get better extension. The glove comes across the body and harnessed at the side . The arm is really fast out front. I love the arm and the frame, good looking prospect for me.
