The skill set behind the dish is solid, throwing 73 mph down to second base with a pop time of 2.00. The feet and transfer need to continue to improve as he matures in age. The bat has an exit velocity of 92 mph. The setup is wide in base and the bottom half is under control throughout the swing. The path to the ball is clean and flat through contact. He turned in a solid workout.

Jonathan Bertone: C/3B, (2026) Westwood, MA. 185-pound solid build. Projectable and athletic during batting practice, Bertone's best exit velocity was 86 mph. (67.6 mph bat speed average). (19.2 mph hand speed average). Begins in an open wide stance with a controlled small load, then uses a closed small stride. Bat speed was developing and quick, showed an uphill loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. He barreled up multiple balls with loud contact. Gap to gap aggressive approach. While catching, he made throws to second at velocities up to 73 mph; had a natural transfer, developing consistent footwork, and developing soft hands. Showed consistent accuracy to the base with a consistent arm action and a high ¾ slot.

Jonathan Bertone: C/3B, (2026) Westwood, MA. 5-foot-8, 165-pound lean athletic frame. Capable and athletic in the box, Bertone's best exit velocity was 81 mph. (60.3 mph bat speed average). (18.8 mph hand speed average). Began in a balanced wide stance with a small load, then used a small stride. Has developing bat speed, long flat swing plane and level finish. In the round he found some barrels with loud contact. Line drive approach. Behind the plate, throw downs to second were maxed at 68 mph; showed a developing lengthy transfer, soft developing hands, and developing consistent feet. recorded a pop time of 2.20-2.25. Clean setup. Had consistent accuracy to the bag with a high slot. During the event, clocked a 60 time of 7.95.

He begins in a balanced, athletic stance with the hands set just off the back shoulder. The load is smooth, then uses a controlled stride before taking a flat path through his finish. Behind the plate, he was 62 MPH on his throw downs, with a pop time range of 2.35-2.39. His initial stance is clean, with the glove set in the middle of the chest. As he transitioned to throw, he showed consistent feet, a clean transfer, and sure hands. Bertone also recorded a 60 time of 8.0 at the event.
