8/4/16 6-foot-4, 195-pound right-handed arm in his second year at the Future Games. The delivery is athletic and he repeats. Direction to home needs to improve as he has pull with the glove, causing the arm slot to raise, taking him out of position. Would like to see him get in his skill set and let his arm work more naturally. The arm speed is there, just needs to worry about extension as opposed to effort. The fastball was 86-88 mph and true. The spin pitch is a 11/7 breaking ball, 70-72 mph as he wraps his wrist on the backside of his arm path. More ball hand arm speed and the pitch can make a velocity jump. The changeup, which he throws much more now, is 76 mph. He is certainly trending the right way, as he is better than last year and continues to work at it.
2/15/16 Long and lean right-hander who is progressing nicely. Pitches out of a slightly higher than ¾ arm slot. The fastball has boar and a downward plane to it. The fastball sat at 84 mph, as he is in the middle of hoop season. The change up is 73 mph and has fade action to it. The delivery has coil to it and the ball comes out nicely. He does pull hard with the front side, taking away from his extension. Good looking prospect, has leverage and is super athletic.
7/30/15 Lanky right-handed pitcher who pitches from a high ¾ slot. The fastball sits in the low 80’s and has downhill plane to it. Throws to types of breaking pitches, the big breaking ball in the mid 60’s and a quality slider that gets up to 73. The latter is most likely the pitch of the future. The change is still a work in progress as he gains feel for the pitch. Is athletic and shows a feel for his body, quick to the plate in the stretch and repeats a delivery in the wind up. A few mechanical adjustments ,such as his front side action will lead to a cleaner and better on time delivery.
6/30/15 Big and long right-handed arm. Touched 82 mph out of a high leg lift and coil delivery that he repeats well. The fastball has leverage and arm-side run to it. The breaking pitch is still being harnessed but got to 74 mph, the shape and form are correct. The changeup is a work in progress as he needs to throw it for it to continue to improve. The length and size of his body lead you to believe the future is a bright one for this young man.
12/6/14 Long and lean, 6-foot-3,190-pound right-handed pitcher who has a great deal of potential. Slightly higher than 3/4 slot with a little head lean during arm swing. Fastball was 79-82 mph with good arm-side action and life. Showed a 69 mph breaking ball and also an above average slider at 74 mph. Changeup was 71 mph but still has a ways to go. Nice easy leg lift and frame to work with as he matures. Impressive showing for a young 2018 arm.
