Joseph Raymond: OF/LHP, (2022) Peabody, MA. 5-foot-10, 170-pound athletic lean frame. Projectable during batting practice, the left-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 85 mph. (59.90 mph bat speed average). (22.18 mph hand speed average). Begins in a crouched wide stance with a small load, then uses a short stride. Bat speed is developing, uses a long flat swing plane and good extension on his finish. Was able to create loud contact and found some barrels. Gap to gap approach. Projectable from the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 79 mph; had athletic developing footwork, a clean exchange, and soft developing hands. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were developing. Had a loose arm action and a high ¾ slot with consistent accuracy to the base. During the event, clocked a 60 time of 7.37. Projectable on the mound, showing developing arm speed he had a ¾ arm angle and a loose arm action. Feel type pitcher who shows some effort. Balance point is tall with falling off shoulders during delivery. Lands open with a falling off finish. Showed control around the zone arm side and running action. (Max spin 2237; Avg 2008). Throws a 11/5 curveball with glove side command and sweeping action. (Max spin 2181; Avg 2118).
