8-8-2018: 6’1, 200 pounds. Wide, sloped shoulders to go with an athletic frame. Chevalier is an older prospect with minimal projection left but has the pure stuff to keep his career going after college. Cross-fire delivery creates some deception and a tough angle on his 88-92 mph FB. Fires it from a low arm slot with a rotational delivery. Pairs it with an average slurve type breaking ball at 77-81. Has considerable shape to it and at times the horizontal break was tough to keep in the zone. When it’s on though, it’s an especially tough offering on right handed hitters given that Chevalier practically releases the ball from behind them. Works with a quick pace on the bump and has a competitive demeanor. (D Jurik)
