2/15/21

Miller is a 5-foot-8, 160 pound right-handed hitting infield prospect. He hits out of a wide, open stance with the hands set just off the back shoulder. He uses a knee slide to stack the weight over the back leg and pushes the hands into a good launch position. As he begins the swing, the stride gets a bit long, causing the flat bat-path to drag a bit through the hitting zone. His hands show well during the batting practice, producing a lot of loud contact and a max exit velocity of 88 MPH.

Defensively, Miller showed silky actions and a velocity of 73 MPH during the infield portion. His feet are athletic, he moves well laterally and shows soft hands as he transitions through the ground ball. The arm works out of a lower ¾ slot and he finishes through the play well.

On the mound, Miller uses a simple, fluid delivery to work down the mound. He gets balanced at the top and separates well, allowing the arm to work freely. He uses a higher arm-swing on the mound, producing a fastball that sits 76-77 MPH with some arm side run. Miller was a little inconsistent with his release point on his breaking ball that sat 66-68 MPH. He was mostly under the pitch but did show the feel for the spin on a few.
