Vinal is a 6-foot-1, 170 pound left-handed hitting catching prospect. He hits out of a tall, wide stance, with the hands relaxed. He uses a big leg kick to stack the weight over the back leg. The hands guide the bat-head through the hitting zone on a slightly uphill path, producing an exit velocity of 81 MPH during his round. He remains balanced throughout the swing and gets through the ball well.
Defensively, Vinal had a pop time range of 2.0-2.2 seconds and a velocity of 74 MPH on his throws to second base. His initial set up is square, balanced, with the glove relaxed. As he transitions to throw, the feet move well and get him into a good throwing position. The arm is short and quick, finishing over his front leg.
