Nicholas Gouveia: SS/OF, (2025) Grafton, MA. 5-foot-9, 135-pound lean athletic frame. Athletic and capable at the plate, the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 81 mph. Started in a narrow open stance with a controlled load, then used a closed small stride. Bat speed was developing, displayed an uphill loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. He barreled up some balls with some loud contact. Aggressive gap to gap approach. Capable while in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 77 mph; showed developing soft hands, a natural exchange, and developing consistent feet. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were developing athletically. From a high ¾ slot, showed consistent accuracy to the base with consistent arm action. 

Gouveia is a 5-foot-9, 135 pound right-handed hitting infield prospect. He hits out of a narrow, slightly open stance with the hands set close to the face. The load begins with a knees slide to stack the weight over the back leg and a pushing of the hands to get into the launch position. The bat-head enters the hitting zone on a flat, direct path through contact. Gouveia stays on plane through contact and finishes balanced.

Defensively, Gouveia was 67 MPH on his throws in the infield. He uses deliberate footwork to get into a fundamental fielding position. The glove is relaxed out in front, with the head level. As he transitions to throw, the hands are soft and the feet create a direct line to his target. The arm-swing is short and he finishes through the play maintaining a direct line with his target.
