Showed a tremendous amount of potential with the bat as he put on a good display in batting practice. Tee exit velocity of 91, as he has serious hand speed at the plate. At 5-foot-10, 180-pounds , he loves to play, as he got after in the defensive workout and the game. The receiving is soft and he secures the catch very well. Pop time of 1.90 in the workout and threw 73. The feet make his transfer work well and the arm path is simple. Ran a 4.27 down the line, runs very well for a catcher. The setup at the plate is even with his feet, bat path is flat, and a tick long to the ball. The hands are very strong as he has buggy whip to the bat, helping display serious power potential. Really good follow for me, as I think he is going to hit a bunch of bolts and handle good pitching as a defender.

Right-handed hitting catcher who had a great workout in Shrewsbury. Showed good foot speed, running a 7.1 60-yard dash and did it easy. Behind the plate, showed very good receiving skills and the ability to throw. Threw 71 mph from behind the dish. The pop time was 2.1 and can be quickened with cleaner footwork/transfer as the arm is plenty good enough. I like his chances as a D1 catcher. The bat has plus life to it, 88 mph tee exit velocity. He hits out of an even base with a leg lift and effort in his swing. The bat is flat and on time, showing power potential for sure. With reps and tweaking he could be a good one.
