Nicholas Willand: 1B/LHP, (2022) Acton-Boxborough Regional, MA. 6-foot-2, 200-pound solid frame. Solid during batting practice, Willand had a max exit velocity of 85 mph. Starts in an open balanced stance with a controlled load, then uses a small leg kick. Has quick bat speed, flat swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found multiple barrels with a lot of loud contact. Pull side approach. Solid in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 75 mph; has a clean exchange, soft hands, and smooth feet. Fields the ball out front. Using a short arm action, showed consistent accuracy to the bag from a high ¾ slot. Solid on the mound, had a long arm action and a high ¾ arm angle with quick arm speed. Feel type pitcher and shows some effort. In line shoulders with a consistent balance point. Lands square with a clean finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 82-83 mph; has a heavy fastball that shows consistent control and running action. Shows tight action on his 2/8 curveball (66-68). Shows command low in the zone and hard action on his splitter (73-74).

Pitching: Solid. Feel delivery, some effort. High ¾ arm angle, quick arm speed, long arm action. Consistent balance point, in line shoulders, lands square, a clean finish.

CB: 66-68 mph. Tight action, 2/8 shape.
SP: 73-74 mph. Low in the zone command, hard action.
