Peter Moor: OF/RHP, (2023) Taunton, MA. 6-foot-2, 205-pound athletic mature build. Projectable at the plate, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 93 mph. (71.2 mph bat speed average). (19.6 mph hand speed average). Setup includes a balanced athletic stance and a small stride. Bat speed is above average developing, has an uphill loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. Through the round he found lots of barrels with loud contact. Gap to gap aggressive approach. Projectable from the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 82 mph; had developing consistent footwork, developing soft hands, and a clean natural exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were developing. Had a high ¾ slot and a loose arm action with consistent accuracy to the bag. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.18.  (Max spin ; Avg ).

Hit: (RHH) Projectable. Setup was comprised of a balanced athletic stance and a small stride. Above average developing bat speed. Good extension on his finish, uphill loose swing. Gap to gap aggressive approach. 

Power: 93 mph exit velocity, average 85.4 mph. 71.2 mph bat speed average. 19.6 mph hand speed average.

Defense:  (OF) Developing soft hands, developing consistent footwork, clean natural exchange. Projectable.  Laterally, movements were developing and fielded the ball out front. 

Arm: 82 mph outfield velocity. Loose arm action, high ¾ slot, consistent accuracy. 

Speed: 7.18 (60-yard).

At the plate, Moor was ranked 2nd with an exit velocity of 92 mph.Starts in an athletic balanced stance with a controlled load, then uses a small leg kick. Has a flat swing plane and has good extension on his finish. From the outfield, his best throws to the bases were registered at 85 mph; showed smooth rhythmic feet, a natural exchange, and sure hands. Showed a short arm action with a ¾ slot. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.4. On the mound, used a short arm action with a ¾ arm angle. Uses max effort in his delivery. Showed a consistent balance point. Shows a recoil finish. Sat with his fastball at 78-79 mph. Has running action. He has sweeping action on his curveball (60-63).

Hit: (RHH) Begins in an athletic balanced stance with a controlled load, then uses a small leg kick. Good extension on his finish, flat swing. 

Power: 92 mph exit velocity, average 84.36 mph. 70.01 mph bat speed average. 21.61 mph hand speed average. 2nd highest at the event. 

Defense:  (OF) Sure hands, smooth rhythmic footwork, natural exchange.  

Arm: 85 mph outfield velocity. Short arm action, ¾ slot. 

Speed: 7.40 (60-yard).

Pitching: Max effort. ¾ arm angle, short arm action. Consistent balance point, a recoil finish.

FB: T79. 78-79 mph. (Max spin 1918;  Avg 1807). Running action. 

CB: 60-63 mph. Sweeping action. 

Moor is a projectable, strong 6-foot, 163 pound right-handed hitting outfield /infield prospect. At this event he had an exit velocity of 80 mph off the tee. He hits out of a narrow stance, with his has set just off the back shoulder. He uses a leg lift to stack the weight onto the back leg and pushes the hands back into a strong launch position. The swing itself is quick, direct and shows his strength as it moves through the hitting zone. He extends well through contact and stays on plane.

In the outfield, he showed a strong, quick arm with his throws registering 80 mph. The feet are active as he moved to get into a good fielding position. He transitions well to a direct, strong throwing position. He finishes through the play, staying in line with the target.

Moor also worked out in the infield. The feet were deliberate as he worked to get into a balanced fielding position. He breaks down behind the ball, with the glove out in front. He moves through the ground ball well, with the feet creating a direct line with the throwing target. The arm-swing again is quick and showed a velocity of 74 mph across the diamond. He finishes through the ground ball and stays in line with the target.

On the mound, Moor uses a short, simple delivery to get down the mound. He stays balanced throughout and uses a long, high arm-slot to get some late run on a fastball that ranges 73-75 mph. He showed a breaking ball, with sweeping action that sat 59-60 mph and a change-up at 63 mph, that looks to still be developing.

Moor is a good looking young prospect. He has a fundamental skill-set, to go along with his strong, projectable frame. I think as he continues to work and develop his skills, he is going to be very good.
