11/04/20

5-foot-10, 145-pound, thin, average athletic frame, sloped shoulders, longer neck, with room for added weight gains. A right-handed pitcher, working from more of a hybrid windup. The hands start and stay low at the waist, leg raise is athletic, coil to it and hips, gets to a good gather. The backside is strong, clean separation, inline longer stride. The arm action is short and quick on the back side, working out of a natural 3/4 slot. The fastball was up to 80 mph, with serious sink and run to it, potential to be a ground ball machine. The breaking ball showed very good spin and break to it, spin rate was up over 2300 and clocked at 67 mph. Also mixed in a true change up, clocked at 70 mph. Look for the velocity to jump, all metrics lead to an increase.

10/18/20

Physical: 5-foot-10, 145 pounds; high waisted, wiry frame. 7.49 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Upright stance with feel about shoulder width while hands start up behind the ear with some waggle; gains ground with a toe tap stride getting separation from the hands. Aggressive lower half staying behind the ball well with Barrel is short to the ball with a flat path through the zone .  Solid line drive / flyball contact from gap to gap; peak Trackman exit velocity of 82 MPH.
Defensively: Uses prep step; Athletic footwork playing through the ball routinely. Soft glove fielding the ball in front with quick, clean transfers; Short arm action with the ability to vary release on the play.  INF - 80 MPH.
Pitching: Builds momentum with a leg lift above the belt and slight coil before getting into back side as stride out in line to a repeatable, balanced follow through. Moderate, whippy arm action to a natural 3/4 release. FB: Peak velo of 80 MPH, while sitting 78-80 MPH. Has life through the zone with a Bauer Unit of 26 and plus arm side run up to 19.8". SL: 67-68 MPH. Very sharp slurvy action with 10-4 shape; up to 12" vertical drop and 21.5" horizontal break. CH: 71-72 MPH. Good hand speed and up to 14.8" arm side fade.

9/27/20

5-foot-10, 145-pound right-handed hitting middle infielder and pitcher. He showed very well for me at the event. Positionally, he ran a 7.13. The approach in the infield is online and athletic with active feet through the fielding of the baseball. The glove is soft and he threw 79 mph across the diamond. The bat has an exit velocity of 79 mph as physical strength gains are warranted. The setup is even in base and the front foot steps into the swing as the ball approaches the hitting zone. The path to contact is long and flat. On the mound, he showed well. The fastball sat 80- 81 mph with arm side run and he showed command. The spin pitch was 68-69 mph and showing signs of good shape. The changeup was 72-73 mph and showed fade. The delivery is online with the feet and the slot is above 3/4 in height. The lift is solid in tempo, coil at the top and he stays online as he gets into foot strike. The glove does show minimal pull to it. He was aggressive and threw strikes.

Exit Velocity- 79 mph

INF Velocity- 79 mph
