Sean O'Connor: SS/2B, (2022) Noble and Greenough, MA. 5-foot-10, 165-pound athletic lean frame. (66.83 mph bat speed average). (21.68 mph hand speed average). Begins in a balanced wide stance with a controlled load, then uses a short stride. Bat speed was above average, showed a loose uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. Barreled up multiple balls with loud contact. Aggressive approach. Above average In the infield, showed consistent developing feet, soft developing hands, and a clean fluid exchange. Laterally, movements were developing and fielded the ball out front. Had a loose arm action and a high ¾ slot with consistent accuracy to the bag.

Hit: (RHH) Projectable. Starts in a balanced wide stance with a controlled load, then uses a short stride. Above average bat speed. Good extension on his finish, loose uphill swing. Aggressive approach. 

Power: Average 75.68 mph. 66.83 mph bat speed average. 21.68 mph hand speed average.

Defense:  (IF) Soft developing hands, consistent developing footwork, clean fluid exchange. Above average.  Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were developing. 

Arm:  Loose arm action, high ¾ slot, consistent accuracy. 



O’Connor is a 5-foot-9, 150 -pound right-handed hitting middle infielder. O’Connor hits out of a slightly open stance, with the hands set low. He uses a knee slide to get the weight stacked over the back leg, before dropping the bat into a slightly uphill hitting plane. O'Connor shows the ability to drive the ball to the pull side and create carry. He also produced a max exit velocity of 87 MPH.

Defensively, O’Connor was 75 MPH on his throws from the infield. The feet move well and get him into a good fielding position. As he works through the ground ball he displays soft hands and gets the hips to create a good line with his target. The arm-swing is short and quick, finishing through the throw and maintaining his target line.

O’Connor is an athletic 5-foot-9, 150 pound prospect. The right-handed hitting infielder had an exit velocity of 83 mph off the tee. He hits out of a narrow, slightly open stance, with the hands in a relaxed position. He transfers the weight to the back leg with a short shift. The hands move into a good launch position. The swing-plane is slightly elevated as the bat works through the hitting zone. The lower half is active in the swing, with most of the weight remaining on the back leg through contact. He extends well through contact and stays on plane.

Defensively, O’Connor was 72 mph on his throws across the infield. The feet are light as he worked to get into a fundamental, balanced fielding position. He breaks down well behind the ground ball, with the glove out in front. The hands are soft as he transitions through the play and into the throwing position. The feet create a direct line with the target and shows a clean arm-swing. He finishes through the play, keeping that same good line with the target.
