7/21/20

Connor is a 5-foot-11, 180 pound left-handed hitting outfielder. He hits out of a balanced, slightly open stance, with the hands set low. The load begins with a knee to knee shift of the weight to the back leg. The swing is flat to and through the zone and he showed some carry to the pull side with an exit velocity of 91 MPH. He also ran a 7.3 second sixty.

Defensively, Connor showed good actions in the outfield. The feet are light and he gets into a balanced fielding position. The exchange is clean and he uses a long arm swing to produce some carry on his throws that registered 79 MPH.

On the mound, the delivery is compact and balanced. He is direct to home plate and attacks hitters using an over the top arm slot. The fastball has some sink and sat 73-76 MPH. The breaking ball has good shape and sits 63-64 MPH. He also showed the feel for a change-up at 69-70 MPH.

5-foot-11, 175-pound left-handed pitcher and outfielder. Positionally, ran a 4.34 down the line on his dig to first base. The movements are athletic. Threw 79 mph from the outfield with an aggressive approach. The arm works well. At the plate, tee exit velocity of 78 mph as physical strength gains are needed. The setup is wide in base, hands relaxed. The hands work well through the ball. The swing is flat and simple. Stays in his legs during the swing, shows a solid approach to hitting.  Good looking bat, looking forward to seeing him progress. Should garner college interest as he matures.
