Tony Silva: RHP/OF, (2025) Governor’s Academy, MA. 6-foot-2, 200-pound athletic projectable build. Athletic and above average in the box, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 95 mph. (70.1 mph bat speed average). (23.6 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced athletic stance with a controlled load, then used a controlled stride. Bat speed is explosive, shows an uphill loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. Was able to create loud contact and found lots of barrels. Gap to gap aggressive approach. Above average and projectable throwing from the outfield, he displayed power in his arm with throws up to 88 mph;had athletic consistent footwork, soft sure hands, and a natural exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Had a high ¾ slot and consistent accuracy to the base. Projectable on the mound, showed above average arm speed, he had a consistent arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Feel type pitcher and shows some effort. Has a consistent balance point and in line shoulders. Lands closed with a falling off finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 85-86 mph; shows running action and command arm side around the zone. Started in a wide balanced stance with a controlled load, then used a short stride. Bat speed was above average, showed an uphill loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. He barreled up multiple balls with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Above average from the outfield, he showed the ability to throw at velocities up to 76 mph; has athletic feet, a clean exchange, and soft hands. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were developing. From a high ¾ slot, showed consistent accuracy to the base with a loose arm action. Performed well in the 60-yard dash, clocking a speedy time of 6.84. Solid on the mound, used a loose arm action with a high ¾ arm angle while showing developing arm speed. Feel type pitcher who shows some effort. In line shoulders and a consistent balance point. Lands closed with an athletic finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 79-80 mph; had running action and control arm side around the zone with heavy movement. (Max spin 1707; Avg 1602). Throws a 11/5 curveball (62-63) that has arm side command and sweeping action. (Max spin 1541; Avg 1497). Showed arm side command and fading action on his changeup (70-73).

Body: 6-foot-1, 188-pound lean athletic build.

Hit: (RHH) Above average. Began in a wide balanced stance with a controlled load, then used a short stride. Above average bat speed. Good extension on his finish, uphill loose swing. Gap to gap approach. 

Power: 92 mph exit velocity, average 86.51 mph.

Defense:  (OF) Soft hands, athletic footwork, clean exchange. Above average.  Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were developing. 

Arm: 76 mph outfield velocity. Loose arm action, high ¾ slot, consistent accuracy. 

Speed: 6.84 (60-yard).

Pitching:  Solid. feel delivery, some effort. high ¾ arm angle, developing arm speed, loose arm action. Consistent balance point, in line shoulders, lands closed, an athletic finish.

FB: T80. 79-80 mph. (Max spin 1707;  Avg 1602). Arm side around the zone accuracy, running action, heavy movement. 

CB: 62-63 mph. Arm side control, sweeping action, 11/5 shape. (Max spin 1541; Avg 1497).

6-foot-1, 175-pound right-handed pitcher and corner infielder. He turned in a solid workout for us. On the mound, the fastball sat 77-79 mph. The spin pitch was 61-63 mph and big in shape. The changeup was 68-70 mph and solid in fade at times. The delivery online with the feet and above 3/4 in slot. The lift is solid in tempo and repeated. The arm works short on the backside and the tracking of the front shoulder can improve as he matures in age.  Positionally, the approach in the infield is athletic and he moves through the baseball as he fields it. The arm is clean, throwing 70 mph across the diamond. The bat has an exit velocity of 85 mph. The setup is even in base and he takes a small step to the baseball as the swing is produced. The hands are quick, as he shows an uphill path through contact.
