5-foot-11, 175-pound athletic projectable frame. Above average in the box, Skiffington clocked an exit velocity of 85 mph. (62.91 mph bat speed average). (19.83 mph hand speed average). Starts in an athletic tall stance with a smooth compact load, then uses a controlled toe tap stride. Had explosive bat speed, simple upward swing plane and high finish. He barreled up multiple balls with tons of loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Solid in the infield, displayed a velocity of 77 mph;shows a clean exchange, quick fluid feet, and soft hands. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front. Had a short arm action and a high ¾ slot with consistent accuracy to the bag. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.69. Above average on the mound, showed quick arm speed, also used a loose arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Tall-and-fall type pitcher who uses easy effort.Tall balance point with even shoulders. Lands closed with an athletic finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 74-78 mph; shows arm side command and sinking action. (Max spin 2074; Avg 1976). Threw a 1/7 curveball (63-66) that showed slurvey late action and consistent control. (Max spin 1803; Avg 1690). His changeup (67-70) shows arm side control and fading action.
