Misiaszek is a 6-foot-1, 155 pound prospect.  The right-handed hitting outfielder/catcher had an exit velocity of 73 mph off the tee.  He hits out of an athletic base, with the hands off the back shoulder. He uses a knee to knee load to transfer the weight to the back leg.  The hands push back into a strong position to hit. The swing itself is on a flat plane, to and through the hitting zone and he uses his long limbs to create good leverage with his swing.

Defensively, his feet move well behind the plate.  He starts out in a square stance, with the glove positioned in the middle of the chest.  As he begins to transition to throw to second base, the feet replace, the shoulders turn in line with the target, allowing the hips to remain under the feet.  His glove to hand transfer is clean, this gets the arm into a good path. At this event, we had his velocity at 65 mph down to second base, with a pop time of 2.25 seconds.  He finishes over the front leg and completes the arm swing.

5-foot-10, 140-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and catcher. Ran a 7.34 sixty on the laser at the event. The approach in the outfield is online and athletic. Threw 74 mph from right field to the plate. Behind the dish, threw 65 mph with a pop time of 2.3. The arm strength would benefit from an off season throwing program. The receiving is developing, needs to continue to work on securing the catch. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 74 mph. The setup is wide in base, bottom half is under control. The path to the contact is long and uphill. The frame needs strength to aid the  development of the bat.

The 5-foot-10, 140 pound right-handed hitting catcher had a tee exit velocity of 69mph.  The set up is out of a wide base and gets to a good hitting position.  Uses his long limbs to create some leverage with the swing and the path is flat through contact. In the outfield, the arm is quick and registered at 69 mph on his throws to homeplate.  The feet are athletic, as evident by his 6.8 sixty at the event..Behind the plate, the glove to hand transfer is good.  But the feet that are so quick in the outfield, cause him to get tall while getting into the throwing position.  The arm was 66 mph and he had a pop time of 2.3.  I think with his athleticism and some small adjustments to the footwork, he has a chance.

3/11/18

5-foot-10, 140-pound right-handed hitting catcher and outfielder. Threw 71 during the outfield portion of the workout. The approach is athletic and on time. Threw 62 mph during the catching portion of the workout. The feet and transfer need to continue to develop as he matures. The receiving needs to continue to soften as he matures. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 58 mph, physical strength is needed. The stance is wide in base, front foot is picked up and put down as the ball approaches. The swing is long to contact, the hands initiate the swing out and around to maneuver the swing. Ran a 7.38 sixty at the event.

Catching Velocity-  62 mph
