The 6-foot, 165 pound right-handed hitting infielder had a tee exit velocity of 82 mph. The stance is wide and slightly open. The hands and set back and the bat is active pre pitch. The load is short and simple. He gets into a solid position to hit. The bat path is elevated and the extension is good. He also ran 4.8 second home to first base.
Defensively, he moves well. The feet are active and he's able to create good angles to field. The glove is relaxed and in a good position to field. The transfer into the throwing position is good and in line. He was 81 mph across the diamond.
On the mound, he uses a little toe tap to get himself into the balance position. He stays nicely over the back leg prior to heading down the mound. The fastball was 75-80 mph with late arm side run on both sides of the plate. The breaking pitch was a good looking pitch at 65-68 mph. He also featured a change up at 68-71 mph with good late action.
I like the potential of this two way guy. The arm works and he moves well defensively.
