Kent is a 5-foot-10, 175 pound right-handed hitting outfield prospect with a ton of talent. He hits out of an open, squatty stance, with the hands set just off the back shoulder. He uses a short load to stack the weight over the back side and gets the hands into a strong launch position. As he takes the bat-head through the hitting zone, there is obvious hand-speed. He whips the bat-head through the zone, highlighted by his 94 MPH exit velocity. The swing remains balanced throughout and he gets good extension through contact.

Defensively, Kent showed arm-strength and athleticism during his session from the outfield. He registered a velocity of 90 MPH and showed light feet as he broke down to field. His exchange is clean and creates a direct line to his target. He finishes over his front leg and gets good carry on his throws.

Kent is a guy that really does a lot of things well. He’s athletic defensively, shows a strong arm and real juice in the bat. 

PROCASE 2021

5-foot-10, 175-pound right-handed hitting middle infielder and outfielder. He ran a 7.05 sixty on the laser at the event. The approach in the infield is athletic and the glove showed to be soft. The feet need to remain active through the fielding of the baseball. He showed arm strength, throwing 85 mph across the diamond at the workout. The bat has an exit velocity of 92 mph. The setup is wide in base and he uses a pick up and put down of the front foot as the ball approaches the hitting zone. The hands work freely with the barrel and he shows the ability to manipulate the bat. He turned in a solid workout.
