Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
5-foot-10, 160-pound right-handed hitting middle infielder and pitcher. Ran a 7.03 sixty at the event. The approach in the infield is appropriate, as he moves through the baseball. He threw 81 mph across the diamond with carry and accuracy. The glove is reliable. The bat has an exit velocity of 91 mph. The setup is athletic. The hands drop as the swing is produced leading to an uphill contact point. The hands do work freely as should make adjustments as he matures. On the mound, the fastball sat 84-85 mph with minimal arm side action to it. The spin pitch is a breaking ball that is big in shape, sitting 71-72 mph. The changeup is a developing pitch, sitting 75-76 and showed minimal fade action to it. The delivery is repeated and athletic. The arm works free and clean, his best days are in front of him.

Maxwell DeRoche: SS/RHP, (2026) Braintree HS, MA. 5-foot-10, 160-pound lean athletic frame. Projectable in the box, the hitter's best exit velocity was 86 mph. (65.7 mph bat speed average). (20.5 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced wide stance with a handsy high load, then used a small stride. Has an uphill loose swing plane and has good extension on his finish. Through his round he found multiple barrels with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Projectable while in the infield, made throws up to 81 mph; had a natural exchange, developing soft hands, and developing consistent footwork. Laterally, movements were developing and fielded the ball out front. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a high ¾ slot and a quick arm action. Projectable on the mound, showing developing arm speed he used a quick consistent arm action with a ¾ arm angle. Feel type pitcher who uses some effort. Tall balance point with in line shoulders. Lands closed with a falling off finish. Sat with his fastball at 84-85 mph; shows running sinking action and arm side command. (Max spin 2096; Avg 1974). His curveball (67-68) had glove side around the zone control and sweeping action. (Max spin 2082; Avg 2003). Had arm side control and gradual fading action on his changeup (73-74).
