Vasili Scangas: OF/2B, (2025) St John’s Preparatory School, MA. 5-foot-10, 150-pound athletic lean build. Projectable and athletic at the plate, Scangas best exit velocity was 90 mph. (64.9 mph bat speed average). (19.3 mph hand speed average). Begins in a narrow stance with a wrapping load, then uses a small stride. Has quick developing bat speed, loose uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. Through the round he found lots of barrels with loud contact. Gap to gap aggressive approach. Athletic, his best position velocity in the outfield was registered at 85 mph; showed developing athletic feet, developing soft hands, and a natural exchange. Laterally, movements were athletically developing and fielded the ball out front. Consistent accuracy to the bag, used a quick arm action with a high ¾ slot. (Max spin ; Avg ).
