Solid body type and 6-foot-2, 215 pound frame. Controlled side-step wind-up and smooth delivery. Gets to a tall balance point with some lower half drive. Lands square and finishes over front side well in an athletic position. Shorter arm action throwing from a high three-quarter slot with easy effort. Fastball sat 72-75 mph. Breaking ball was 65-67 mph with gradual 11/5 shape. Change-up was 69-71 mph.
2.19.17 - Projectable frame at 6-foot, 175-pounds. Deliberate build up style delivery. Smooth working towards the plate with sound arm action throwing from a three-quarter slot. Shows average arm speed. Could get more back side intent when working towards the plate. Fastball has slight run to the pitch up to 70 mph. Breaking ball showed gradual movement at 54 mph. Change had slight fade at 59 mph.
1.21.17 (Freshmen Free Showcase) - Projectable frame at 6-foot, 175-pounds. Smooth delivery with slower build up. Slows down slightly as he works downhill. Nice hips through finish, could get some more from backside drive. Sound arm action throwing from a three-quarter slot. FB up to 68 mph and was 66-68 with slight run and could get some sink as he progresses. Breaking ball was 61-63 mph with 10/4 shape on the pitch and gradual break but show potential. Change-up ranged from 50-53 with fade and dive to the pitch..............Ran a 4.78 home to first. Exit velocity of 72 mph. 63 mph infield velo.
