Maryland Top Prospect Games West
Body: 5’11’’, 180 pounds. Athletic body type and projectable frame.
Hit: RHH. Hits from a tall, slightly open stance at the plate. Sinks into the lower half on the back side during load. Quiet hands and average stride length. Stays mostly short to the ball with a tendency to get long at times. Showed a more uphill swing path with some lower half involvement. Stays behind the ball through contact with extension and a two-handed finish. Creates quick bat speed through the zone and worked gap-to-gap during BP.
Power: 87 mph exit velocity per TrackMan during BP. Showed some power to the alleys with more projected.
Arm: RH. INF - 81 mph. Throws with shorter arm action from a high three-quarter slot. Ball showed carry across the diamond.
Defense: Plays loose with active feet and showed range side-to-side. Surrounds the ball and works through it fielding it out in front of the body before funneling to the belt. Slight glove tap in exchange with overall clean actions and athleticism.
Run: 7.55 60-yard time.
