Preseason All-State 2.18.18
Strong athletic projectable frame at 6-foot-3, 215-pounds. Hits from a wider athletic set up. Rock-back load with low leg kick. Level swing path keeping hands inside ball. Creates fast bat speed with some explosion in contact. Gap to gap approach with pull side pop. Exit velocity of mph. Quick feet and smooth transfer to release. Throws have carry at 76 mph with a pop time as low as 2.03. Nice hip control receiving, sticks ball well. 7.37 60-yard dash. Very interesting projectable offensive catching prospect in the 2020 class.
1.21.17 (Freshmen Free Showcase) - Lanky, projectable frame at 6-foot-2, 200-pounds. Ran a 4.1 home to first. Hits from a taller, slightly closed set up. Smooth weight transfer back in load. Level Swing path with average bat speed. Like to see more extension through contact. Exit velocity of 81 mph. Receives from a higher wide set up. Nice hip control. Showed nice footwork on pops with a clean exchange and short arm action. Catcher velocity of 75 with a pop that ranged from 2.12-2.19.
