Maryland Preseason All-State Session II
Body: 5’10’’, 160 pounds. Lean, athletic frame with feel for his body.
Hit: RHH. Narrow, slightly bent setup as the hands showed consistent rhythm above the shoulder; utilized a leg kick stride while holding posture well on the swing through the backside. Created some stretch and launched through a flat path into the hitting zone while working into a stiff front side at impact. Liked to get leveraged on pitches out over the plate, peppering the LCF gap with hard contact out in front. Generated a 39% line drive rate, effectively keeping the ball off the ground during his BP round. Demonstrated developing pull side pop.
Power: 88 mph exit velocity during BP per TrackMan. Doubles power at the moment with ability to handle pitches out over the plate for pull side juice.
Arm: RH. INF - 75 mph. High ¾ slot with repeatability present.
Defense: Approached with choppy feet and a medium low posture at the fielding window with some feel during defensive evaluations. Used a soft glove hand inside and outside the left leg allowing for range to either side, confident pace when on the run showing understanding for the internal clock. Liked the way the hands worked in rhythm.
Run: 7.27 60-yard time.
