Maryland Top Prospect Games West
Body: 5’10’’, 170 pounds. Athletic frame.
Hit: LHH. Hits from a balanced, open stance at the plate from the left side. Short, quick load with hand separation. Lands on-time with quick hands and fast bat speed through the zone. Short, compact, uphill swing path. Really stays behind the ball well with great balance, extension and a two-handed finish. Showed a more middle to pull-side approach during BP.
Power: 87 mph exit velocity per TrackMan during BP. Power to the pull-side now with more projected.
Arm: RH. INF - 84 mph. Throws with long arm action from a high three-quarter slot.
Defense: Fields the ball out in front funneling to chest from a solid, athletic base. Shuffles feet and gains ground towards the target. Clean exchange on double play feeds to second.
Run: 7.62 60-yard time.
Delivery: Slightly up-tempo side-step wind-up and high leg kick to a tall, compact balance position. Long, smooth stride down the mound with strong lower half drive. Lands slightly closed to the plate and gets down hard over the front side with extension and a full athletic finish.
Arm Action: RH. Clean hand separation and throws with a full arm circle from over the top. Creates quick arm speed through release.
FB: T82 mph, 79-81 mph. Showed the ability to spot the fastball on both sides of the plate with an average spin rate of 2176 rpm per TrackMan.
CB: 64-67 mph. Big 12/6 shape with an average spin rate of 2419 rpm per TrackMan.
CH: 69-72 mph.
