Maryland Top Prospect Games West
Body: 5’9’’, 165 pounds. Athletic body type.
Hit: RHH. Hits from an athletic, balanced, square stance at the plate. Gets to a strong hitting position with a short, smooth back load, small stride and good hand separation. Short to the ball with quick hands and bat speed through the zone. Slightly uphill swing path with extension through contact. Fluid swing with feel for the barrel. Really nice gap-to-gap approach.
Power: 89 mph exit velocity per TrackMan during BP. Gap-to-gap pop with more projected as he incorporates more lower half involvement.
Arm: RH. INF - 82 mph. Throws with short arm action from a high three-quarter slot.
Defense: Athletic and moves well at short showing lateral range. Gets around the ball and works through it fielding it out in front. Funnels to the belt and gets rid of it quickly with clean exchanges.
Run: 7.36 60-yard time.
