Rivera was unable to do the defensive portion because he is still recovering from shoulder surgery, but watching the offensive presence of this young man and you know he has the ability to be an intriguing prospect down the road. It pretty simple at the plate with smooth actions and load that translates into pop and fast bat speed with the hands. He shows good balance at the plate looking to never to get too far out of himself. If he can come back healthy from the surgery, he will one to keep an eye on.

8/2017 - Rivera is an exciting prospect at Riverdale Baptist. Solid frame with some strength. Hits from the right side with nice rhythm at the plate. Hands work with smoothness and strength with pull side power. Consistently gets barrell on the baseball and shows ability to drive ball with extension through contact. Had an outstanding spring for Riverdale Baptist offensively. Smooth fielder defensively, might need to move to a corner down the road, but also is a very intriguing prospect as a catcher.
