Maryland Preseason All-State Session I
Body: 6’1’’, 197 pounds. Strong, physical, athletic, projectable frame.
Hit: RHH. Hits from a balanced, square, slightly crouched stance at the plate. Smooth back load with solid hand separation and a shorter stride. Quick bat speed through contact with a slightly uphill swing path. Ball explodes off the bat to the middle of the field and stays behind the ball well with solid balance throughout. Strong lower half involvement and creates solid extension through contact with a slight recoil in the back swing. Strong two-handed finish with a smooth gap-to-gap line drive approach.
Power: 92 mph exit velocity during BP per TrackMan. Present pop to the gaps and alleys with more projected.
Arm: RH. C - 75 mph. Throws with longer arm action from a high three-quarter slot.
Defense: Pop times ranged 2.00-2.10. Creates solid momentum towards the target and replaces feet well with quick, clean exchanges. Throws show accuracy and some carry to the bag.
Run: 7.25 60-yard time.
