8/18/20

5-foot-8, 150-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and pitcher. He ran a 7.25 sixty at the event. The approach in the outfield is athletic and online. The feet moved well through the fielding of the baseball, throwing 80 mph to the plate. The bat has an exit velocity of 83 mph. The setup is even in base and the front foot steps into the swing. The path is uphill through contact with the baseball. The hands work freely with the bat. On the mound, the fastball sat 80-81 mph. The slider is 73-75 mph and solid in shape. The changeup is 71-73 mph and still developing. The delivery is online with the feet and the slot is above 3/4in height. The lift is methodical and it stays methodical throughout the process.

The 5-foot-8, 150 pound right-handed hitting outfielder is a good looking young prospect. The swing is athletic and displayed the ability to drive the ball, especially to the pull side. Off the tee, he had an exit velocity of 84 mph, one of the highest of the day. The stance is balanced and slightly open.  The hands do get a little quick moving back, which causes him to get around the ball occasionally. Mostly, the bat head is direct and produced a lot of hard contact. He also ran a 7.8 sixty at the event. On the mound, the delivery gets a little quick but he keeps good direction.  The fastball was 71-77 mph with run to the arm side.  He was also able to locate the pitch to both sides of the plate.  The breaking ball was 67-68 mph and looks to still be a work in progress.I’m looking forward to seeing him continue to development.  The arm talent is evident and the bat has a chance.

5-foot-4, 120-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and pitcher. Ran a 7.9 sixty at the event. The approach in the outfield is appropriate, throwing 63 mph from the outfield to the plate. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 80 mph. The setup is even in base, the hands work freely. The front foot steps into the swing as the ball approaches. The path is long and flat, uses a 1-handed finish after contact. On the mound, the fastball sat 72-76 mph. The spin pitch is 67 mph, big in shape, additional fastball hand speed is needed for the pitch. The changeup is 65-66 mph and a work in progress. The delivery is online with his feet, above ¾ in slot. The front side goes high to low as he makes his way into foot strike. The tracking of the front shoulder needs to be online. The glove comes across the hitters face, adding to deception of the delivery.

2/17/18

5-foot-4, 120-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and infielder. Threw 67 mph from the outfield out of an athletic approach. The glove is soft and the throwing touched 66 mph across the diamond. The prep steps need to be incorporated into his game. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 74 mph. The feet start wide, slightly open front foot, and a high back elbow. Uses a pick up and put down of the front foot as the ball approaches. The swing is long as he drops his hands to start the swing. On the mound, the fastball touched 68 mph. The breaking pitch was 63 mph and the changeup is 64 mph. The delivery is online with his feet, ¾ slot. The glove is pulled across the hitters face and effects the direction of the delivery on the top half. The arm works clean and should develop nicely.
