Andrew Merrill: C/1B, (2022) out of Oxford Hills Comprehensive, ME. is a 6-foot-2, 185-pound catching prospect. At the plate, Merrill had an impressive 97 MPH exit velocity, with a (69.06 mph bat speed average) and (21.79 mph hand speed average). He begins in a balanced, tall stance with the hands set just off the back shoulder. A smooth load stacks the weight over the back leg before the bat takes a quick, uphill path through the hitting zone. During the round, he showed the ability to use the whole field and create some carry in both alleys. Behind the plate, he was 78 MPH during throw downs. His initial set up is slightly staggered, with the glove set in the middle of the chest and the head still. As he transitioned to throwing, he showed sure hands, consistent smooth footwork, and a clean transfer. Merrill also recorded a time of 7.22 in the 60-yard dash.

6-foot-2, 170-pound right-handed hitting catcher. He put together an outstanding workout in my eyes. He ran a 7.53 sixty at the event. The skill set behind the dish is advanced as he can really catch and throw. He threw 77 mph down to second base with a pop time of 1.96. The receiving is solid and he shows good flexibility behind the dish. The bat has an exit velocity of 93 mph. The setup is wide in base and the front foot gains ground to the baseball as the swing is produced. The path is long to contact as he needs better direction at the initiation of the swing. The hands work free and clean, the frame needs the addition of strength and weight.
