3/05/19

5-foot-10, 165-pound left-handed pitcher. Showing improvement since the last time we saw him pitch. The frame is gaining weight and the body is getting stronger. The fastball sat 76-78 mph, arm side run to the pitch. The spin pitch is 57-58 mph. The pitch needs added fastball hand speed to it, which will lessen the break and add improved flight to the pitch. The changeup is 73-75 mph, fade to the pitch at times. The delivery has crossfire to the feet and the slot is above 3/4. The lift is repeated, coil a the top and action with the glove. The tracking needs better alignment to the plate. Threw strikes and showed effort in the delivery. Interesting follow for me. Should see a velocity jump in the next year.

2/17/18

5-foot-9, 160-pound left-handed hitting outfielder and pitcher. Athletic approach from the outfield, as he was aggressive. Threw 75 mph from the outfield with carry. Ran a 7.7 sixty at the event. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 73 mph. Starts with his feet wide, and the front foot slightly open. The back elbow is high and the bat path is flat and long to contact. Uses a pick up and put down of the front foot as he initiates the swing. On mound, the fastball touched 75 mph with arm side run. The breaking ball was 64 mph, as he flips it, needs more fastball hand speed. The changeup was solid,, sat at 72 mph with fade. The delivery is online with his feet and the arm works ¾. The tracking of the front shoulder needs to stay online as he runs away from his arm prior to foot strike. Chance on the mound.

Tee Exit Velocity- 73 mph
OF Velocity- 75 mph
