Mason VanBrandt: SS/3B, (2024) Whiteford Agricultural, MI. 5-foot-6, 165-pound sturdy strong build. (66.0 mph bat speed average). (18.1 mph hand speed average). Begins in a balanced open stance with a rhythmic load, then uses a toe tap stride. Bat speed was efficient, had an uphill swing plane and high finish. Found lots of barrels with some loud contact. Aggressive gap to gap approach. While in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 75 mph; has a quick clean exchange, soft sure hands, and consistent in control feet. Fielded the ball out front with athletic movement laterally. Using a short arm action, showed consistent accuracy to the bag from uninterrupted slot. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 7.96.
