Raw in the infield, his best throw was registered at 72 mph; had average choppy footwork, a natural lengthy exchange, and raw sure hands. Movements laterally were late and he fields the ball out front. Solid on the mound, showed good arm speed, he had an over-the-top arm angle with a short arm action. Tilt-and-topple type pitcher and uses some effort. Has a low balance point with uphill shoulders. Lands closed with recoil upright finish. (Max spin 1927; Avg 1860).
